Heatsense Acquires Cords & Lacing Tapes Business from Carlisle Interconnect Blackburn

The announcement of the closure of Carlisle Interconnect Blackburn enabled Heatsense to purchase all plant, equipment and finished goods relating to the cords & lacing tapes business.

Heatsense purchased all plant & equipment and a significant amount of finished stock. The plant, equipment and stock has been transferred and installation has already begun. We anticipate that the manufacturing cell will be fully operational by late April.

Heatsense already supplied all the PTFE yarn used by Carlisle Blackburn to manufacture cords and lacing tapes, so this was simply a logical addition to our business.

Heatsense has its own an extensive braiding operation – it follows that there will not be an issue manufacturing this range of lacing tapes and cords for customers.
