Glass & Ceramic Fibre Cables

Glass and Ceramic Fibre Thermocouple Cables allow the accurate and electronic measurement of temperature and have numerous industrial applications, but are especially suited to industrial heating processes, particularly those carried out at very high temperatures.

Typically, both conductors are braided separately (double fibre lapped) using glass or ceramic fibre and then either laid together (laid straight) or twisted (twisted pair) and finally over-braided in glass or ceramic fibre.

Glass and ceramic fibre insulated cables are able to withstand a much greater temperature range compared with other insulators. These fibre braided cables can be used in conditions with temperatures ranging from 400°C to in excess of 1200°C. The cables can be manufactured with a stainless steel over-braid which makes them extremely rugged and ideal for heavy industrial applications.

Glass Fibre Flat Pair Cable

Heatsense offer this option as a single flat pair of stranded conductors. Each conductor is braided in glass fibre before being laid flat and over-braided in glass fibre. Suitable for use in relatively high temperature applications such as kilns, furnaces, ovens and infra-red heaters.
