PTFE is a fluoropolymer and boasts significant chemical, moisture, electrical and temperature resistances. It is one of the most reliable insulation materials on the market today.

PTFE creates an insulation with an operating temperature range from -75°C ~ +260°C. It is non-reactive, resistant to corrosion and abrasion, non-flammable, has a high tensile strength and is unaffected by exposure to humidity, liquid or any moisture. PTFE coated wires also possess a high dielectric strength. Combined with its low dissipation factor this makes PTFE suitable for automotive, medical, aerospace, electronics and cryogenic applications.

BS 3G 210 Type A

PTFE Cable - Insulated Equipment Wire 300 Volts

This is an extruded PTFE insulated high temperature cable suited for use in electrical and electronic equipment, particularly applications requiring high levels of thermal and chemical resistance. PTFE offers resistance to lubricants and fuels and is also non-flammable and highly flexible.

The conductor is solid or stranded annealed copper, plated in either silver (type A) or nickel (Type NA).

  • Voltage rating of 300 volts (r.m.s.)
  • Maximum temperature rating 190°C (silver plated conductors) or 260°C (nickel-plated conductors)
  • Minimum temperature rating of -75°C for fixed installation and -50°C for continuous flexing
  • Standard range of solid and bi-colours as listed in BS 3G 210

This is electrical and electronic extruded PTFE insulated high temperature hook up wire rated at 600 volts.

The conductor is solid or stranded annealed copper either silver or nickel plated. Wires can be supplied in the standard range of colours as listed in NEMA HP3, and striping is also available on request.

  • Voltage rating of 600 volts (r.m.s.)
  • Temperature rating -75°C ~ +190°C (silver plated conductors) or +260°C (nickel-plated conductors)
  • The cables meet the requirements of UL1213 105°C (NB: size 10awg is not UL recognized)
  • These cables also meet the requirements of the RoHS directive

Nema HP3 Type EE PTFE Hook-Up Wire 1000 Volts

This is electrical and electronic extruded PTFE insulated high temperature hook up wire rated at 1000 volts.

The conductor is solid or stranded annealed copper either silver or nickel plated. Wires can be supplied in the standard range of colours as listed in NEMA HP3, and striping is also available on request.

  • The cables meet the requirements of UL1180 200°C 300Vac

Styles 1199 and 1659

This is electrical and electronic extruded PTFE cable is insulated high temperature hook up wire rated at 1000 volts. These cables are suitable for use in gasoline, gasoline vapour and oil.

The conductor is solid or stranded annealed copper either silver or nickel plated. Wires can be supplied in the standard range of colours as listed in NEMA HP3, and striping is also available on request.

  • Voltage rating of 600 volts (r.m.s.)
  • UL 1199 temperature rating +200°C
  • UL 1659 temperature rating +250°C
  • Meet UL horizontal flame requirements
  • Cables also meet the requirements of the RoHS directive
  • Sizes smaller than 26awg are not available in UL 1659 style
